Hello everyone, and welcome back to this week’s report! Manageable weather this week, although it was a bit rough early in the week, it has settled out now and looks good for the weekend. Hopefully the forecast stays this way, and life will be much more comfortable than last week. Let’s get to the good stuff….the fishing. Sailfishing this week has been pretty good with some getting double digit bites! The bite has been pretty solid to the north, and we even had a little tailing condition to the south, so it’s been pretty good. All methods have been working, so slow troll, kite fish, or dead bait….it’s up to you! The wrecks and reefs have been pretty solid all week with some happy Yellowtails in on the rocks, and some nicer Muttons as well. The wrecks have been holding good numbers of Snappers and Groupers, and lots of kings. A few Cobia started to show up this week in the deep. but none off the rays yet as the water has been pretty dirty. It’s beginning g to clean up now though it appear, so if they are showing up we will find them. Offshore there have been some tunas in the hump, and a few Mahi around still too! Plenty of good fishing to be had for sure! Hope everyone had a safe and happy new year! See ya next week!
Tight Lines,
Capt. James Chappell
