Hello everyone, and welcome back to this weeks report! A great week here in Islamorada, and the weather has been pretty nice! The offshore report for this week will start on the sword ledge. Some nice fish caught this week up to 500 pounds! One fish went 330, and several in the 100’s! We managed to catch 3 this week on my boat “Catchalottafish”! Some great fishing out there just before the moon, and as of Friday were still biting. Some Mahi starting to show up, but still really spread out. Blackfin tuna in size large are beginning to appear on the humps, and the AJ’s are chewing. The sharks are taking their share, but have been manageable. The Sailfishing this week has remained on the slow side, but there are a few around. Mostly swimming in the shallows, but there’s a few around nonetheless. The wreck and bottom fishing has been decent, but a lot of Red Snappers. The Muttons have slowed, but managing a few each day over a few hours. Plenty of Kings and some nice wahoo all week before and after the moon. The reef bite with the Yellowtails has been good with fish to 5 pounds! Some jumbo fish as they prepare for the spawn. Also, some really nice cero mackerel and kings getting in the slick. The patches have slowed a bit, but with the front coming through this weekend they just might spark back up. Got some wind and cold on the way for the weekend so get ready to bundle up. Well, that’s it for now, see ya next week!
