Hello everyone, and welcome back to this week’s report! Some beautiful weather here this week in out little piece of paradise, and some great fishing to go with it! The Mahi fishing this week has been excellent, as the fishing has been red hot! Lots of fish in our area right now, and they are getting bigger on average. It seems as the fish are right on schedule beginning their southward migration and they are a little more grown up! Some really nice size schools as well, with some having close to 200 fish in them. Pretty exciting to see this many fish all fired up at once! The depths for these guys have been great too, with most of the fishing between 300’ and 700’ of water. There have been plenty of weed lines out there this week, and the current has been decent so we have all the ingredients for great fishing. There has been some green water on the inside, and there has been fish in it, so don’t shy away from it. Just be patient and find the birds, debris, or larger weed patches and you will find the fish! The Sword ledge this week has been fairly productive with a few nice fish being pulled off of it. Not as great as most had hoped, but the guys have been plucking a few from the deep. The deep dropping in the deep over 700’ this week has been tough with the current ripping, but inside the conditions have been solid. Some really nice Groupers and Tiles caught this week all around town. The humps have been teeming with Blackfin Tunas, and you pick the flavor for catching them. It has definitely been a morning bite, but feathers, bait, jigs….everything has worked. All 3 humps have been pretty good, so that should be a no-brainer. The wrecks have produced this week with some nice Groupers and Muttons. The Kings and Sharks were a little slack this week, same for the Bonitas, but the Alamos and AJ’s were decent. Steady pick on the deep wrecks and ledges, and should be getting better! The reef remains solid, but holy cow are the sharks aggressive! Some nice Yellowtails and Mangroves, and don’t forget about the Ceros. Some really nice Cero Macks out there with a few Kings around too, so get the wire ready. Well, that is it for this week. Keep your eyes on the weather as the tropical activity heats up. Too early to tell, but the weekend is looking pretty rough, windy, and rainy for now, but we will have to wait and see! Good luck everyone, and be safe!
