Hello everyone, and welcome back to this week’s report! Another great week of fishing here in the Florida Keys, and the weather looks like it is going to be nice for the weekend! The offshore scene this week has been awesome with good numbers of really nice sized fish. This is honestly the first week of the summer that it has actually felt like Dolphin season. A lot of weed lines, debris, and birds all helping us get to the Mahi, and even a few bonus fish out of the blue on the troll. This week has been fun, and it should carry over into the weekend! The early part of the week was miserably rough, but the seas have calmed and hopefully these rain clouds will move on out for the weekend. It appears from the forecast that the weekend will be pretty nice, so we will have to wait and see. The Tunas are biting well on the humps and the “footballs” are getting bigger! Still a few Jacks left out there and a lot of Sharks, so plenty to do offshore. No Swordfishing report this week due to the weather, but I am sure I will have one next week. A little closer in around the 200’-300’ ledge there have been some Wahoo on the color change. All up and down the Keys, up the entire coast for that matter, there have been some Wahoo on the loose! A few nice one’s down here recently up to 72 pounds, so don’t be afraid to put in a little time where these guys are concerned. The wrecks and ledges are producing Mutton Snappers and Groupers, as they should be after we leave this moon. This should remain good through the weekend as well. The reef is good too, with some nice YT’s and Mangs, but find the current and the dirtier the water the better. It can get a little tough this time of year when it gets still, and very clear. Thanks everyone, and have a great weekend!
