The wrecks this week have been on fire! The Mutton Snappers have been chewing and a few nice Black Groupers as well. All the wrecks and deeper ledges are holding fish right now, so if you want some fish that are really tasty, then go give it a try. These guys eat dead bait just as good as live most times, so if you struggle getting live bait then this might be the ticket for you. Nice Muttons, Groupers, Porgies, AJ’s, Almaco’s, and even an African Pompano will show its face from time to time, not to mention that Pelagic’s like to hang around these deeper structures so bring an arsenal! The reef fishing remains to be good as the Yellowtails continue their spawning efforts, and it appears that some of the larger Mangrove Snappers are starting to mix in. Some really nice one’s caught today out of Islamorada, and these guys are only going to get better as we move through the summer.
Well, that is it for this week! Please stop by and say hello or give me a call at 305-803-1321 if you need a little local knowledge or would like to book a charter! We are located at World Wide Sportsman’s Bayside Marina in Islamorada, Florida! Can’t miss us!
