Hello everyone, and welcome back to this week’s report! Some awesome weather we have been having this week, as it has been just absolutely beautiful! So nice for a change, but it appears that next week we will have a little wind, so let’s enjoy this weekend while we can. The fishing this week has been really good on the wrecks and the reef! The Mutton Snappers and Groupers have been biting pretty well on the wrecks and deep ledges. Live and dead bait have been working well, as well as a handful on vertical jigs. The reef has been awesome as well with some green water residing on the edge making the Yellowtails very easy to catch. We could definitely use a little more current on the reef, but it has definitely been good enough. The offshore fishing this week remains to be slow. Glimpses of hope here and there, but these fish are just really far behind I suppose, or the they are deep. Whatever it is they are not biting very well, and there are a lot of shaker mahi around to boot. The water looks perfect once you hit the current, and there has been some decent weed lines, but just not a lot of fish. Every day someone finds the mother load, but 85% of the fleet is coming home very short handed. It will get better soon I am sure, but for right now I am going to stick to the bottom fishing until the offshore side gets better. Looks like some pretty nasty weather coming in on Sunday night, but other than that the weekend looks great! Have a great weekend everyone!
