Hello everyone, and welcome back to this week’s report! The wind has been blowing again making conditions a bit uncomfortable, but we have been fishing anyway! The forecast is coming down for the last couple days of the week, but the weekend looks like it’s gonna get windy again and blow 20 knots, so you smaller boaters might wanna rethink your plans. If you have a boat that is able to safely adventure out, then you can bet that some Sailfish will be biting! The sails have been biting a bit down here in the upper keys, and the conditions are favorable for a decent weekend bite. The tide from the new moon has been moving a lot of water around, and there is a lot of bait on the reef. The wreck fishing should be decent as well as we leave this moon phase, and the reef you can bet will be good with the dirtier water around. Pretty much everything has been biting this week from Sails, Tunas, Kings, Wahoo, Snappers, and Groupers. Even a few Cobia starting to show up on the Rays when the wind settles down. Don’t think you will see much of that this week, but when we get a break from the wind you can bet they will be around. Plenty of bait on all the patches as well, so if you can make it out the fishing should be good. A big tournament this weekend here in Islamorada with the Islamorada Sailfish Tournament taking place, and we will be out there competing with some great fisherman. Looking forward to seeing what the weekend will bring with this, and you should be too! The wind is going to make a great kite condition, and hopefully they will bite! Well, that’s it for this week! Stay tuned for next week’s report for what’s going on here in the upper keys!
